5 Money-Saving Hacks for Traveling in Europe

Traveling in Europe can get very very expensive, however, there are many ways to reduce costs and save money.
Well, in this blog, I am gonna break down some of my tried and tested hacks to travel across Europe for cheap.

So, without further ado, let’s begin!!!
  • Choose budget Airline

For booking flights, be sure to look out for budget airlines. There are around 20-40 budget airlines in Europe, such as:

  1. Ryanair
  2. Transavia
  3. Norwegian
  4. EasyJet
  5. Air Italy
  6. Blueair, etc

Some of them are big & popular that fly all across Europe, while some are smaller & offer quite limited no of flights. All of them share one thing: they made traveling affordable to so many people.
Moreover, there are websites such as Omio.com that compare and tell the cheapest time, cheapest flight varied from slowest to quickest options to get from point A to point B in Europe. Do consider to look at them when booking your tickets. Also, you can use discount vouchers for such sites, for example, online Omio promo codes and deals to get yourself more discount on your flight. So, be sure to check them out as well.
  • Get around in overnight FlixBus

Well, if you want a cheaper option to travel than budget airline then be sure to check out Flixbus. Flixbus is basically a German company that offers bus services all through Europe, known for offering amazing services & facilities for just a fraction of money. Also, it is famous for its overnight rides that save you a night of accommodation so you can not beat the price of these tickets!!!
Notably, these buses are super safe, comfortable and super spacious, offer free wifi, table, and big seats so you can sleep.
  • Stay in a Hostel or rent an Airbnb

See, you’re there for experiences, adventure, collecting memories and have lots of fun which is definitely outside your hotel room, no matter if it is super fancy or just a safe place to sleep. So, for this, I would highly recommend not staying at a hotel, instead, go for an Airbnb or stay at a hostel. Staying at a hostel or an Airbnb would definitely cost you way cheaper than staying at a hotel.
  • Carry around an empty water bottle

Always always always carry around an empty water bottle and fill it up in sinks & public fountains. This will save you €3 or more per water bottle, which adds up as around 15-20 Euros in a day.
  • Buy an unlimited Metro pass

The first thing you should do once you enter any country is to purchase an unlimited public transportation pass (3-7 day pass). It makes a lot of difference when compared to buying individual tickets.
